Arete Outreach September 2015

We participated in a multi-specialty medical camp across

multiple centers in an underserved area in Gujarat. Kudos to

Mr. Fakhri Sabuwala, Lion's Club of Kapadwanj, Kapadwanj

Mahanagarpalika and Sahyog Charitable Trust for

orchestrating this!

Lighting the ceremonial lamp at the commencement of the camp.

The Women's Health Outreach Camp- examinations were conducted, medications distributed and myths busted!

Distributing essential eyedrops and testing vision as part of the Eye

 Examination.

Offering professional advice and prescribing remedies during the

Arete Outreach

Abscess drainage, treatment of swellings and essential extractions

were some of the emergency services provided by Arete Outreach

Atraumatic Restorative Treatments (ART) are fillings done without

the use of dental drills and with minimum equipment. These are

especially useful when treating children in camps.

Diabetic Retinopathy Disease Screening by Arete Outreach: All

diabetics are at risk of retinal disease and loss of vision. Frequent

check-ups are essential.

Diabetic Retinopathy Disease Screening: Undetected diabetes can

be diagnosed during these camps through Random Blood Sugar

testing as part of Diabetic Retinopathy Screening. This can be a

boon when conducting a camp in underserved communities.

A dental consultation in progress during Arete Outreach.

Distributing free medications, toothpastes, toothbrushes, and noting

suggestions for further treatment so local doctors can follow up.

The always cheerful Uncle Saifee, our faithful autorickshaw driver

who carted us from one hospital to another...after his dental

examination.

With one of Kapadwanj's Angels, Mr. Fakhri Sabuwala, and his

 family.

Draped in shawls, blessed with flowers and gifted with

 mementos- we were perfectly felicitated!

The enthusiastic and hard-working team of Rotaract Club of

Mumbai Downtown with Dr. Harish Kundalia, Mr. Fakhri

Sabuwala and Rohit Prajapati our in-house yogic healer.

At the end of Day 2, a job well done!
